· Kringle Contest! A good friend ordered a total of 34 copies of Painting Aalesund and Juliet’s Opera for her friends and family this Christmas. And it reminded me that we give something we like - kringle - to friends and family each Christmas. SO, I will be very pleased to send to the person who orders the most copies of Juliet’s Opera and Painting Aalesund before Christmas a fresh Kringle of their choice from O&H Danish Bakery (www.OHDanishbakery.com). Kringle is wonderful! And, please remember that you will always get $1 off each book your order from this website after you have ordered your first. It may be a bit early still, but, Merry Christmas!
· Free Book Contest! Every month the winner will get their choice of a free copy of Painting Aalesund or Juliet’s Opera. Please download your favorite illustration from Painting Aalesund. Then color it however you like. On the back please write a short letter or essay telling me one of three things.
1. What do you like about Painting Aalesund and why?
2. What do you know or what did you learn from Painting Aalesund about the town and people of Aalesund, Norway?
3. What about your home or town is already wonderful and what would you do to make it even better?
When you are done, please mail your page to the address on my “Contact The Author” page on this site. Please have your parents send me an e-mail so I can register you for this contest. Each person can enter once each month! And I’ll pick a winner each month who can choose their free copy of Painting Aalesund or Juliet’s Opera. And, so long as it is okay with your parents, I will post the winning art and essay online here at my website.
· “Reader’s Special!” If you already own a copy of one of my books, I will be glad to take $1 off your next book. This is a rolling special, so your first book saves you a dollar off the second, saves you a dollar off the third, and so on.
